The municipality recorded 145 live births for the year, 4 still births and 1 twin delivery. The twin delivery is counted as 2 live births. In the past years, the municipality was able to gain awards both from the provincial and regional level for their efforts in the national voluntary blood services program. Despite the pandemic, when COVID-19 restrictions were less tight, the Local Blood Council pushed for the continuation of blood donation activities in the light of blood shortage due to the limited movement of people brought about by the pandemic but keeping in place the minimum health protocols set by the IATF.
There was a total of 346 blood donors or 156.67% of the target 210 which is 0.001% of the total projected population of the municipality.
