OFFICE OF THE MUNICIPAL MAYOR

Mandate, Vision/ Mission, Major Final Output, Performance Indicators and Targets

MANDATE:  

  1. Exercise general supervision and control of all programs, projects, services and activities of the municipality;
  2. Enforce all laws and ordinances relative to the governance of the municipality and exercise its corporate powers in Rule IX of these rules, implement all approved policies, programs, services, and activities of the municipality;
  3. Initiate and maximize the generation of resources and revenues, and apply the same to the implementation and development plans, program objectives and priorities as provided under these rules, particularly those resources programmed for agro-industrial development and countrywide growth and progress;
  4. Ensure the delivery of basic services and the provision of adequate facilities as provided in Rule V of these rules;
  5. Ensure that the construction and repair of roads and highways funded by the National Government shall, as far as practicable, be carried out in a spatially continuous manner and in coordination with the construction and repair of roads and gridges of the municipality; and
  6. Exercise such other powers and perform such other duties and functions as may be prescribed by law or ordinances.

MISSION:

To provide quality services, enhance indigenous skills, promote technologies and protect the environment with the support of the citizenry and partnership and networking with other government agencies, non-government organizations and the private sectors for the progress of our municipality.
